I couldn't agree more with the last part of your comment Tony. That's what I am after every time I shoot. I find I get the best results after I have shot with the same model a few times and you get to know each other. When the model gets to the point where she almost forgets you are even there and gets lost in the moment with herself.

Thanks very much. I love your work aswell and also find it very inspiring. Re getting models to relax I find that communicating with them at depth before shooting helps greatly. Even if it is to admit you might be a little nervous or perhaps even a little distracted because of something that may have happened before the shoot. I think if communication is transparent then the resulting shots will reflect this even if photographer and model have only just met.

For sure. I am always in contact with a model a good few weeks before the shoot. Email images for inspiration so they can get into the head space and know what to expect before the shoot even happens. That way there are no surprises. I also like to make them feel like part of the final image. If they have any input on anything at all. I have found that people put more into a shoot when they don't feel like they are just a pretty face for a photo, but actually have some input towards the final outcome. Also find it helps keep images new and with something different in each because of the different personalities.
