How is Cornavirus affecting your daily life? We a a little fortunate as we live on a farm and have kept away from the public, however I guess it is only a matter of time that it will reach us.

The schools here, have been shut down for four weeks now in Iowa. In Iowa yet bars and restaurants are open yet for now, but that may change. Across the River in Illinois the schools are closed along with bars and restaurants. All concerts and sports games have been canceled for the near future. In both Illinois and Iowa, the colleges and universities are doing most all classes on-line for now. Luckily for me Joan is a coupon shopper and stays pretty well stocked up on the necessities, because people have been panic buying. You'd be hard pressed to find any toilet paper in the Quad Cities area, which blows my mind as it's a respiratory thing. I'm more worried about the young single mothers I know, who are waitresses, bartenders and cooks in Illinois. They are for now unemployed, the state promises unemployment. But it's not the kind of money they were making.
You all take care of yourselves, staying on the farm as much as you can may be a good thing.Β

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, we are staying on the farm as much as we can, we too are running low on toilet paper and may need to build a tempory toilet out in the paddock so we can use newspaper if we have to. People are in such panic mode for no real reason, there is plenty of everything if people just carried on as normal. I must say the media isn't helping, I think there should be a ban on them for a couple of weeks and I'm sure we would all get back to normal. Take care my friend and also your families and the little ones. God bless.

Glad all is well there, disregarding the panic buying. The media here has been the same, to the point I think they caused our panic buying. Encouraging everyone to have a two to three week supply of everything! The little guys are off for spring break right now, they weren't happy when they found out school was now closed till April 13th. They both love school and don't understand why!

Our schools are still open, but not sure for how long. You really wonder where all this is going, however I wish everyone would stop panic buying, its crazy!

Yes the panic buying is crazy. A friend of ours runs a grocery store, He says people are driving him nuts and working him and his staff to death. Stocking and restocking the shelves, when trucks come in. There's no shortage of goods they just buy it up as soon as he gets it in.

Thanks for the favorites and replies on the eagle shots Alice. I suspected they'd be active yesterday, we're getting snow today. They tend to feed a lot before we have bad weather coming in.
