Before you say anything about this idea being sick, I want to point out that this takes place either in an alternate universe where Skunk's old enough or after the Skunk Fu series with Skunk now a grown-up. After growing close to each other since Skunk's youth, they felt they had a strong connection, one even stronger than Fox could have ever had with Rabbit, and Fox decided to pop the question to the skunk she's known for so long.
