There's a phenomenon going on in Australia that's also the number-one cartoon in that country in the ratings, and it's called "Bluey"! It's a preschool series, but with also an adult following! Co-produced by ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) and the BBC with series production studio Ludo Studio, it stars a family of dogs -- the titular character is a Blue Heeler (the blue variant of the Australian Cattle Dog) as with the rest of her family except her mother, who is a Red Heeler. "Bluey" also has recently reached 100 million views on ABC's streaming service since the series premiered last October -- wow! Last week, Disney Channel and Disney Junior picked up the series to be shown here in the United States, and will also appear on Disney+. I've heard of "Bluey" before but I haven't paid attention to it -- but now I am, and it looks really cute! Now, if only "Kitty Is Not a Cat" (another Australian cartoon) would also air in the United States...
