MAGIC
Beryl mostly uses her fire magic for intimidation/defense purposes or simply for keeping warm on a cold day. She primarily used her earth magic to help with excavating when she was an archaeologist, she doesn't use it quite as much now. Her lightning, wind and fire magic are also all used to help her appraise items and test whether it is the real deal or simply a counterfeit. The only ability she really ever uses with lightning is magnetism

PAST
Beryl grew up in The Nook, spending her childhood in Wynsiph. Ever since she was a wyngling she loved old things and would always find herself reading history books and looking for treasure. As she got older she began looking more into finding a career as an archaeologist and eventually moved away from town in pursuit of this. As an archaeologist she was very good at her job and she loved it more than anything. Unfortunately after she was badly injured in a cave in, during one of her explorations, the doctor informed her that it would be best to settle down and avoid doing any strenuous activity.

After that she went back to Wynsiph in an attempt to settle down. It wasn't long before she started missing her job. Luckily of her friends, Rudy, who ran a little shop in town paid her a visit. He had come into possession of a strange item and, knowing she was quite well learned in this area, came to Beryl about what it was and what it would sell for. Beryl was stoked, she realised she could still do what she loved and help out around too. It was at this moment that she decided she would start appraising.

Beryl now runs an antique and appraisal store. She mainly handles making sure that any jewels or other antiques are the real deal and helping to put a fair price on other people's items as well as providing a place to sell them if they wish. Beryl also loves to tell young wyngro crazy stories about how she got the scars on the eye she always keeps closed. Ranging from fighting ferocious beasts to exploring deadly caverns. In reality she got into an intense tussle with a rather large and vicious Coatala. Despite her looks she is actually quite strong and not afraid to fight if necessary so she showed that Coatala who was boss, but not without a cost. This has lead to her hatred of Coatala to this day.

PERSONALITY

Beryl is very friendly towards others, as long as they remain respectful toward her. As nice as she is she won't take anyone's crap and isn't afraid to enforce her rules the hard way (though she mostly just uses intimidation rather than actual violence). She loves all things old and mysterious and is well learned in both these areas. She is very serious when it comes to business and will be completely blunt and honest in regards to appraising and pricing items, haggling with her is not easily achieved. If you ever try to swindle her or anyone else with fake items she will kick you to the curb and proceed to death glare you if she ever sees you again. She can be quite intimidating. She often helps Rudy out with his prices and is a frequent at Novo's stall. She's quite the passionate storyteller, especially when someone asks about her archaeologist days.
