ATG3 Day 17 - Draw a pony broken up/draw a pony mourning! #226I was going to do something really artsy with a crying pony's reflection in a broken mirror, but then I drew this instead.

if its the cupcake im thinking it is somepony house is getting burn down most likely bluebloods...defently bluebloods...in fact even if it isent im still gonna burn down his home..with a pestacied fuled fire and napalm..ill be right back *lights molatov and walks off*

Pinkie pie looked over the edge of the table, licking her chops. Sitting on the table was the most delicious cupcake known to ponykind. It was so perfect, it would take six years to complete a sample of a tasting of it's tastieness. The cakes proudest work. This was the only sweet she was forbidden to eat, as packed ever so carefully, and sent to celestia, for her to divide into four pieces for all the princesses. Pinkie couldn't help it. She simply licked a small amount of frosting off the sugar-filled sweet. Her mouth burst with an amazing flavor. She needed more! Trying to prevent herself, she went and ate sixteen normal cupcakes, but it still wasn't enough, she wanted the princess-only cupcake. She ran over and picked it up, forgetting how much trouble she would be in, and took a bite of the sweet mini-cake. Her mouth was now a waterfall of rainbows, bursting with golden light and honey. She stood there, amazed at the taste. Coming to her senses, she looked down and saw an empty wrapper. Pinkie pie screamed, if the cakes found out, she would be in trouble. She ran over to the cabinat and began to pull out the ingredients.
"Eggs, flour, sugar, frosting, sprinkles, and cinnamon-" Pinkie was abruptly cut off from a voice in the doorway.
"Pinkie, where is the cupcake?" Asked Mr. Cake. Pinkie slowly turned, frightened.
"I-I ha no idea wh-what you're t-talki-ing ab-bout." She stuttered. Mrs. Cake stared at her muzzle, then looked and saw the wrapper on the floor.
" PINKIE! WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU?!" Screamed Mrs. Cake. "We WILL talk about this, missy. Until then you stay here. We're going to tell twilight what happened so she can relay the message to Celestia. Until then, YOU STAY PUT!" The cakes turned around, and walked out of sugarcube corner.
Pinkie ran over to the wrapper, her muzzle scrunched, and tears dripping down her face. She lowered herself near the wrapper and whispered, "I miss you cupcake."

Haha, thanks! I'm glad you like it! I'm a big fan of *sophiecabra , so I tried to emulate her style with this piece. It was certainly fun to do, but it pales in comparison to her work.
I'm actually a little surprised that you pointed out the background and perspective. Personally, I thought they were a bit weak. The back wall, at least, needed a lot more clutter to make it really interesting, and I think I placed it and the table too far away from Pinkie, making the foreground too big. Still, I really like how it turned out and I'd love to do more work in this style.

You're right, it does have some flaws and it's good that you acknowledge them. I was just in awe of the things you did right and I'm looking forward to the day when I'm able to make similar things.

Aww man seeing all this sad ponies is killing me! But the pose and tail in particular looks great maybe it's the subtle shading under that give it such a perspective. Nice work.

At Walgreens I discovered these insanely tasty big cupcakes with pink icing and I feel the same way as pinkie here when I'm finished with one.
