She looks so peaceful in this picture! I really love how it looks like she is really underwater! Like wow! That's so hard to do. Even the contrast just gives it that under water feel. Awesome job!

there is the most recent picture I tried with watercolor. It was very challenging. I do not, and can not afford water color paper. ;__; will that effect my work by a ton?

Well...
Water color paper is desirable, but not necessary. It gave nice texture and better take the color, but we used ordinary paper 200g/m- very successfully.
I think you could try to giving a wash of paint by flatness.
1. It will accentuate the shape of figure.
2. It will afford you an opportunity to better mix some color and after- combine those flatness.
I must say it's very cool that you use almost pure color: your paintings never be dirty or pale. But you need some little more practise for water color.
All you need- it's patient and persistenc.

What do you mean by "paint by flatness" Ha ha ha, these terms don't make sense to me sorry.
I am not to familiar with any type of techniques or what they are called. I am self taught so it is difficult sometimes.

Ah good! I saw this in my dev art folder of new files to look at, and I accidentally x'd it out before I could stop myself and take a better view. I knew even then that it would be beautiful, just from the split second I had of looking at it. Fortunately I found it again due to looking at your other painting and then your gallery.
VERY nicely laid out, I love the colors and whispiness of it; it would look good as a pastel painting as well, I think. This painting is shimmery and full of light.
