Yeah I kinda do wish we'd be able to see them more. It's quite a cool invention! I guess we see it less because its somewhat of an in between in technology from bows to pistols and muskets.Β

Not at all! Crossbows have been around since Alexander the Great's conquests (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastraphβ¦ ) and saw use well into the age of musketry. Crossbows get less attention mainly because longbows have been heavily romanticized in popular culture, thanks to the Robin Hood legends and more recently thanks to Tolkien's elves. But like you, I love crossbows and wish they saw more use in games and movies and such.Β

That's true not many characters with crossbows, not even that many in RWBY.

Yeah, but I'm sure there's a few famous characters that use a crossbow. Guts from Berserk has one in his arm and Daryl from the walking dead uses one as well.
