Great posture, love the angles. Their left arm seems a bit thin compared to the right one, the right one looks more in place.
The shadow under the right leg & hand is great & on her inner left thigh. It appears the head hangs out further than the hand, if so the shadow of the head should be showing on the ground in front.
I like the sand, looks almost like they're pulling up cloth though. Perhaps a few dots here/there would help make it look a bit more like sand. Did you use a reference for the pose at all? Would be nice to see a link to compare here.

Aaah you're right, I used the word 'her' in one of the sentences.
I actually thought it was a female from the start but I didn't want to say directly in case it was a very slim male or a neutral gender.
No worries, I think you did good with using no reference. You might not see it but from an outside view I think you're growing very quickly with your art. Keep this up, but as always, continue to have fun with it too!^^
