Stegosaurus appears in both of Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park novels, and in the second and third installments of the film series.

They don't appear in the first film, but judging by the labels briefly seen in some scenes (most notably the one with the misspelling "Stegasaurus"), there are presumably some in the park on Isla Nublar.

In the film "The Lost World", these dinosaurs are shown to travel in small family groups. They are mostly peaceful, but will react violently if they feel their young are threatened.

In terms of accuracy, the stegosaurs in The Lost World don't look too bad, but they're waaaay too big. They look at least 12 metres long, a third longer than than they actually were.
