Shameless, gratuitous fan art fueling my obsession. I felt gooshy.Wasted time messing around with Sai. I'm not entirely happy with the quality it saves .png files in, but whatever. It works all right. At least saves things in .psd files for later use.
By the way, Eridan is only upset because he totally sucks at Fiduspawn and Tavros always wins.

Also, I agree. There is so not enough of this pairing. That's pretty much the whole reason I started drawing it. It's pretty much my OTP and yet I find hardly any art or fics of it at all. It's really disheartening because I see all of these other extremely popular pairings and wonder why mine isn't as wide spread. Even some of the lesser known/canon pairings are more popular than this one and I feel Eridan/Tavros could actually have some potential given the right situation. I think Tavros is one of the only other trolls that could (or rather, WOULD) be bothered with putting up with Eridan's emotional BS.

Yes, that's exactly it, you're totally spot on. In truth, they are absolutely adorable as a pairing, and it makes me a little sad when people are grossed out by the idea of Mr. Fishlips and Mr. Cripple being together. There could also be benefit in this couple, y'know? Like, since Tavros is so, well, non-agressive, it might calm Eridan down a bit. Perhaps Tavros might even gain a little confidence, well, if it isn't crushed by Eridan's large ego. LOL.
Also, you style Eridan's hair like a pro. I cannot draw it...It just...it defies gravity. I mean, I bet he uses 25 cans of hairspray per stroke. No wonder the ocean is becoming so polluted. Heh.

I definitely think that Tavros would have been able to shoosh pap the hell out of Eridan, actually. Considering he's one of the more patient trolls and fairly incapable of hating anyone, I think he'd be really good for Eridan. He'd listen, even if he didn't really want to and probably offer up some sort of advice, if Eridan wasn't too aggressive about it.
Even though Eridan's kind of stupid, he's not inherently evil. Looking back at the conversations he's had, he has feelings like all of the rest of them. He wants attention, he wants to be a nice guy. You can tell he doesn't want to be that asshole that always manages to be a douchebag. After losing Fef, if someone showed him some affection, I think he'd at least try to keep them around, maybe even going a little bit out of his way to be nice. (He'd still complain, bitch, moan and glub all the time, but he might shut up long enough for the other person to say something.) But because the trolls and their ancestors are basically roll reversed, he has like, NO HOPE whatsoever, despite his title, so that makes it very hard for him to do anything by himself. i mean wwhats evven the fuckin point anywway...
Honestly, I think if someone, anyone, had paid him some extra attention or just let him know that they actually did like it when he was around, maybe kept him away from Fef, he may have stood more of a chance of not going completely shithive spazmaggots.

I think Tavros, as awkward as he is, would be a really good confindence booster in Eridan. Also, because Tav is a cripple, Eridan might actually have to take some time to think of someone other than himself.

I know I'm serious about it because it gets a lot of flack. It's like, out of all the crack pairings, this is one of the ones people are most prone to rip on. So to defend it, gotta find some serious shit out about it.
I like to think that the kind of people Homestuck attracts are a bit more serious anyway. My previous GIGANTIC fandom was Hetalia and even though I still LOVE Hetalia and have the seasons on DVD and still read the webcomic, the fandom killed a lot of it for me. What fun is a thing if there's only you to talk about it? If you want horror stories for at conventions, just look for any of them dealing with the Hetalia fandom. It's seriously disgusting and unbelievable. A lot of times, now, I won't even admit to knowing what the hell it is, I'm so ashamed of the fandom. =\
Anyway, I hope to get some more art out once my classes give me some down time. X3

I completely agree with you on that. I'm a 'pretty-okay-with-everything' shipper as far as Homestuck goes, but I really think that in terms of palemates/redrom Tavros and Fef would be the only two to even bother trying to put up with his stupidity 'personality'.
With a little bit of attention and some cripple-drubbings fiduspawn, I think Eridan would be okay. So fucking needy. XD
