"Combat Rhi"-
So I was helping Manicluver work on drawing poses long before I considered making a tutorial. This was a little something I used as an example, wire frame and fleshed-out sketches not included. Then I figured I'd spruce it up a bit, practice for the tutorial, you know?
This is her OC, Rhi, now with space battle/future cop armor.... stuff. Dunno what I was thinking with the pistols though. Bit more refinement, and they'd look pretty cool!
Either way, enjoy! And you'll probably see this again in my tutorial for poses!

Awesome. I like the perspective and the armor design. Very creative. And even in greyscale it still looks great.
Anatomy's pretty good. It feels like you put a lot more thought into it than usual. Still some small mistakes in the shoulders but they look pretty good.

One of these days I'll get the shoulders right. Shame too, because a lot of emotion can be expressed through the shoulders...

Oh you will get them right some day. But you're right, Shoulders are a nice tool for expression.
I will say that it seems the most common error I've seen from you is how the shoulder muscles connect into the back so I think that's what you might want to practice with. I've noticed also when you're doing a pic that's mostly a front view, you do pretty good on the shoulders because you only have to worry about two points of connection (lower chest and collarbone) so in a way, it's similar to an elbow. But when you're doing something like the pic with Gloria where part of the back should be showing, that's a third connection point into the back (which is the scapula) and I think that throws you off a little.
But just keep at it and practice.
