Description

So since I'm uh, very bad at having my characters actually age, this will function as one big age up and check-in for all my current staxies! Wall of text, sorry not sorry

----

(Left to Right)

Drome (Around 20, She/They): Drome is sort of coasting through life right now. She's still very pleasant and passive, but now, they spend most days at home in a kind of... decision paralysis? She wants to go out and explore the island, but knows she isn't physically up to it, she wants to accompany her siblings to the stumphouse but feels that she doesn't belong there, she wants to find a job to help support her family but can't find one that fits, plus she's not sure she's physically up to it. She wants but... she's tired. They look after the house mostly, just to feel like they're doing something helpful.

Confetti (Around 22, He/they): Still very friendly and adaptable - and unable to say no- Confetti spends most of his time at the stumphouse, helping Leutogi with caring for the stumps, both to keep an eye on Arc and Blair while they play with other stumps and to not go stir crazy sitting in his home. He took to surrogacy after being asked by a friend who didn't want to wait for Bamblebrights season, and it's now a source of passive income for him. When he's not at the stumphouse, he's usually out and about finding small jobs to do or training the family mancake, Pocky (who's getting a little too big to be untrained).

Blair (Around 11.5, They/Them): Blair is out of their younger, quiet phase, becoming more mischievous (oh FUCK, whisper Confetti and Drome). Now that Blair is older and more independent, their mother expects them to be around more and to help around the farm more but um, Blair doesn't do that. They want to help, they really do, but anything they do seems to be wrong in the eyes of Tranquility, and any time they try to help it "must" be redone, which is just creating extra work for everyone else so Blair ditches from the start. This has left their already-strained relationship with their family in a strange position, but they just choose to focus on their family in the Fauxs instead. They spend much longer stints in the Faux house, hanging out with Drome, exploring with Arc, training Pocky with Confetti, and visiting the stumphouse to hang out with other stumps their age. However, Blair always returns to the farm eventually...

Arc (Around 11, She/Her): Arc is out of her younger, more gremlin phase (finally, whisper Confetti and Drome), and has grown into a more... subtle mischief. She helps to guide Blair into little acts of rebellion, and is more independent of her siblings. That being said... She still spends most of her time with them, whether it's harassing Confetti in the stumphouse between games with friends, dragging Drome out of their room to go for a swim, or running around the island with Blair. She's grown into a HUGE extrovert, and a bit of a chatterbox, making her by far the most social of the family.

Dune (Around 24, He/Him): Dune is still, to put it simply, an anxious mess. He's incredibly soft spoken and gentle with everyone... unless it involves his son, Peregrine, who brings out a stern and protective side in him. He works as a florist in a small shop on the island, and when not working he will volunteer as a net guard, watching for anything trying to come in (but mostly stumps trying to get out), or will accompany Perry to the stumphouse. There he will occasionally run into Confetti, who he has a itsy bitsy, teeny weeny- absolutely massive crush on.

Perry (Around 11, He/Him): Perry is living his absolute best life with his dad. Since Dune has become far more assertive after receiving a long series of complaints about Perry's behavior, he doesn't get away with nearly as much of his bratty behavior and is somewhat well behaved. He spends most of his time at the stumphouse where he hangs out with friends and attends school, but sometimes he'll escape to explore the island and the cradle.

Patience (Around 15, Any Pronouns): Patience is -and I say this with all the love in my heart- a little shithead. They lie and cheat for their own gain, but never to hurt others, and he very often gets away with it because they have Chapati wrapped around their itty bitty fingers. That's not to say that Patience doesn't care about Chapati though, Patience adores Chapati and spends almost all of their time with xem. Patience is incredibly anti-social and uses Chapati as an emotional support stax most of the time, but on the occasions she's forced to interact with others alone, Patience will immediately freeze and put up zero fight to anything that happens next. It's very convenient then, that the pair are rarely apart, spending all of their time together in the stumphouse.

Chapati (Around 15, Xey/Xem/Xeir): The biggest tattletale in the stumphouse, Chapati will sell you out for any reason, at any time, for any reward. Unless you're Patience, Xey have a lot of patience for Patience. It's not like Chapati is doing it maliciously either, xey just... Don't give a shit about you, or your problems (Perry is very slowly worming his way into xeir good graces, enough to not immediately snitch but will sell him out for a good enough reward). Xey spend basically all of their time at the stumphouse, as it's where xey live, play, and learn, but can occasionally be found out on the town with Patience and/or Perry's family.

Turbid (Around 9, He/They): Turbid is a very... Odd staxie. He's a bit of a pushover and dislikes arguments greatly. He comes across as very awkward until they're familiar with a staxie, at which point he's very loving and considerate, as well as showing himself to be a bit of an adrenaline junkie and the type to follow their gut, which rarely leads them astray. Under all of this, however, is a layer of uncanny-ness? For a child his age he seems to know too much, and will talk about things with such confidence that are just impossible... Right? It doesn't help that their voice is also... off, raspy and wheezy in a way that indicates decades of disuse, which should be impossible. He's currently living in the stumphouse with his younger sibling, Tevalia, after being found outside the the netgate one night.

Tevalia (Around 9 months, She/Any Pronouns): If Turbid is a little odd, Tevalia is full on uncanny valley. Despite being just barely older then the average stump leaving a pouch, Tevalia is walking confidently and communicating better then stumps years older than her. Similar to his brother she talks about things that shouldn't be possible, and after being brushed off over and over again she stopped talking about it. Really, they stopped talking pretty much entirely. The only time they speak now are with her brother and when she's been stewing in anger for too long, and will utter something particularly menacing. Most stumps think her strange, most adults find her creepy, but she doesn't seem to care as she carefully observes everything around with eyes that seem to look through instead of at. He's currently living in the stumphouse with his older sibling, Turbid, after being found outside the the netgate one night.

Balji (Around 2, He??/Him????): Born as a result of cloning with their twin, Burrata, Balji is a sweet boy(?), the optimist to Burrata's pessimist, the dark to his light, the... success to his failure. Balji has spent a large part of their short life following Burrata around to try and convince him that he's not a mistake or a failure or anything like that, but that is met with varying levels of success. This goal shaped Baljis personality, leading them to be very accomadating and sweet, but having basically no personality themself. They'll sit around the stumphouse - where they live- and listen to others vent, and try to solve their problems but between issues they just. Don't know what to do with themselves.
