So via a mutual friend that is the amazing it came to my attention that the artist is hosting a contest with 3 month Core Membership up for grabs. Full details can be found via this journal entry: [Dyingstar460 Core-Prize Contest]

The rules were to draw any of her OCs from the list she provided. I picked the 2 Sisters Azure and Yozora. Why them and why this theme? Allow me to explain: it'll be written in the journal but, to quote her, she describes these two sisters in the following way;

"Yozora is A hard headed slightly angry girl with a green gem lodged in her chest. Her race is unknown but she is unpredictable. She is my main OC and is also the sister of Azure. She is the aggressive one. Azure is a sweet and innocent girl. She covers her right eye with hair because of her crystal eye. I haven't really drawn more versions of her yet.
She is also the sister of Yozora and is the more passive one."Now maybe this is just the over-the-top art analyst in me talking, but the way she describes these two opposing forces bonded by sisterhood (unless they have a pretty unharmonious relationship ) sounds kinda reminiscent of the Yin Yang philosophy. And with that... this happened.

Maybe I went a little off topic from the rules , but you should know miss Star, I have a teeeeny obsession with Lore, Mythos, and Symbolism in artwork. Go on, ask Astral, she'll confirm it It didn't quite turn out how I originally envisioned it (I had pictured them being back-to-back) but this proved to be the most practical layout without causing me a major setback.
Whatever the result, it was a lot of fun to dream up the concept, experimenting with creating those gems is going to come in very handy for future works, and it was just nice to feel a burst of creativity again (finding the drive to work on my other ideas has proven to be... very difficult as of late ).

So let me take this chance to say thank you for allowing me the chance to participate
