Soooo, after the realistic Bettycat painting, I wanted to do something a little bit more relaxing and fun. This is Caleb. I've never done a reference sheet before and I always thought they could end up really stuffy and boring but hopefully mine's entertaining (I don't take my writing very seriously) and you like the character!

I must apologise to you watchers of mine. I can never stick to one thing. I've gone through photography (early, early days!) random Flash dress up games, pixel art and digital paintings verging between fantasy and attempted super-realism, and I'm completely incapable of settling on a style I like. I hope you don't mind my erratic qualities. This is a simpler style than I normally paint and it has a little bit of outlining, which I don't normally do, but I really like it, so maybe I'll do more like this. I dunno!

I never saw the point in putting those little colour charts on reference sheets. You can see what colours he's made up of! Anyway, those things make it look as if you want people to draw giftart for you. Okay, so I would like that a lot, but yeah, my character is waaaaay more interesting to me than he probably is to any of you!
