Description
The use of aerial silks by performers demonstrates the beautiful contortions the human body is capable of. Aerial silks may be used to strike poses while flying through the air and is also used to wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral their bodies into and out of various positions.

The human body is a subject that continually inspires me. Depending on the skin tone, the light, thickness and complexion of the skin, it is a subject that is never the same. Through painting I am striving to capture the solidity of the flesh, but also expressions and emotions that can be translated through different positions and postures.
