Description I've run into functional problems with the model I was using as "Bree" in my MMD MMORPG Spoof series, and have decided that it needs to be replaced.

So, looking around for a suitable replacement, I screened through several possibilities but kept coming back to Rin Kagamine. TBH, I haven't really been fair to Rin lately, even going so far as portraying her as a Yakuza mobster. Well, that's not going to work now is it?

Well I put Rin through the PMD "create your own character" process with the bits and pieces of material I've been collecting over the past months and came out with the version of Rin shown above.

Rin the Vampire Slayer

Personally, I think giving any small girl a huge lethal weapon can only lead to one outcome - huge amounts of laughs. This characterization of Rin is definitely going to give the original (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) a run for her money.

Characterwise, she'll be smarter than Miku and Neru, but for that to work in a comedic series she's also got to be a "baka". Wherein she's has a hard exterior, she's also needs to show a soft side; and I don't really want to portray her as a tsundere character, that's Neru's forte. Rather, Rin the Vampire Slayer is going to be a character who always tries hard to be "cool" and will always fail in a funny way. That should give her a much more interesting and lovable set of dynamics.

yeah so dressing a 14 year old girl with a major skanky out fit like she is a grown woman or something is very pretty and cute , sorry but no thats just nasty

Nope - the girls in my neighborhood at about Rin's age dress similar to that (less the axe). My female cousins when they were around that age dressed like that too, so I don't know what the big deal is. One went on to become a full time model and still dressed like that and in far more provocative poses - granted she wasn't 14 when she did that ...

As far as Rin's costume is concerned, she's not showing anything. Teenage girls in bikinis are quite normal here in California; no one pays them any special attention except perhaps for some of the teenage boys their age. She's got a jacket to cover up and how are those goth boots more 'skanky' than Miku's knee-socks, for example. FYI, we're living in the 21st Century ...

Please keep your preconceived notions to yourself, I am neither a pedophile nor a proponent of child porn. Please compare what I do with what the Japanese MMDers (or some others here on DA) do with these types of models before you get on your soapbox to sprout crap like this at me.

If you find an image like this 'offensive', you're fully entitled to your opinion, I respect that, but by the same token, I do ask that you express your views elsewhere as I find it simply plain rude.Β Still it is an interesting POV, I didn't realize that people who think like you still existed and if you did find this image 'offensive', you do have my apologies as that was never the intent.

Cheers

and for the record , what you think looks correct , is not cause those little ass girls dressing up like that just want major attention and want to get boys which is quit wrong and sad there parents should really pay attention to there kids , so please go somehwere else , with your ignorance of learning how to dress girls cause it looks like you don't know how to

Now how can a lovable version of Rin, fail?
very nice & the footwaer is awesome!

Trackdancer In reply to GM34 [2012-08-01 19:25:29 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, Rin should work much better overall in the Fellowship of the Leek group's dynamics. Especially, when foiled against Alice who won't take anything seriously.

The footwear is something else.
Not really good for a model intended for dancing; but very workable in this context.
