Description
This is a strange thing for me, I woke up at 4:00 am with the urge to draw...Just draw...I'm also surprised that I came up with Raven...Also if you would notice, I used a different style on this one as compared to the previosu Raven sketches.
This one I really like for some reason, hope you do too...
Scene:

...It wasn't easy, trying to take the next step. After all, anything can happen when you take a chance like this...
I don't want to lose our friendship, but I don't want to lose her either...
What's a guy to do?!
"How bout you just say that you'll be with me?"
I froze when I heard her voice. my gaze immdediately locking on the angel in front of me.
Her eyes glowed quietly in the dakrness of her room, but her smile never faded when I reached out to touch her.
" You know that I will always be with you, Rae."
She frowned slightly, "then what was all that about losing our friendship, and...me"
"Wha? Was I thinking out loud?!"
She remained silent, her fingers twitching slightly.
I had to say something, anything, anything!
"Rae, I...I...was j-just kind of nervous about this...I mean it's a big step for us, so... I'll ask you...are you really really sure?...."
"No." She replied quietly, "But I want it anyway...."
She was serious.

And ya, well, sometimes you get the urge to draw at the most ridiculous places and at the most absurd of times, yet somehow for me, that's when all inspiration kicks in to create something nice.

yea i get that urge i was coming back from london once and it was packed full and i was trying to draw but the train was rocking loads and there was this weirdo man who went to sleep next to me and was snoring and drooling which was pretty disgusting then i got my picture in chewing gum so i gave up... i've never got that urge at 4 though.

Umm, I never said I didn't use a computer. I did the sketching and the line art as soon as I woke up, just as if it was all pent up in my head. But I used Photoshop for the colouring and stuff three hours after I finished the sketch, though I could've posted the lineart, I preferred this one instead, everybody loves a blushing Raven.
Hope I didn't dissapoint you.

Nice and cute, the lighting is decent but the texturing on the suit does leave much to be desired. It takes away from the depth while the light adds to it, the two neutralize eachother.

thanks for taking the time to look at it! But umm, I honestly know nothing about texturing or that much about lighting either....hehhe This was sort of an accident when I was messing around on photoshop! hehhe!!!
I am more of a solid colors person then I am on shading or anything, though I'd love to learn, this one I fear might be just be a lucky shot...
Perhaps you have some tips for me, I have been looking for manuals on how to use corel painter for shading and cel shading, and even texturing but I couldn't find any! i'd love to get some advice!

Im sure there are many shading and lighting tutorials on deviantart. the searches work pretty well, just type tutorial and whatever else
