I was thinking about drawing ideas having to do with a change, metamorphosis, or reincarnation if you will. I came up with the idea of a crow turing into a tree for its next life cycle. It lays in a barren land and the dripping moonlight flows close to its body. The moon is a symbol for change, which could be interpreted as representing change for the crow as well.

I like how you gave a symbol of death giving birth to a tree, which gives it shelter. Lovely image.

I love this. Anytime you have the stars hanging on strings like that I absolutely love it. Stars are my favorite. I can't wait to be done with school so I can get my creative juices flowing.

It's a nice picture but I think the stars give it a bit Christmas look and spoil the creepiness. I like the water and leeking sun very much.

Funny I never think of stars when I imagine Christmas lol. Stars are just apart of everyday life to me I guess ^^ but I can see where you're coming from. It's a moon, also hence the stars, it's night time, and the crescent shape. I usually draw the sun round as it it Thanks for your comment

Yeah, I guess moon is more logic- though it's basically a piece of rock, so that's why my first thought was sun when I saw it leaking down.

It's a surreal world, so I made the moonlight become liquid, then again no real logic in a dream eh?
I've actually never really drawn or painted the sun only once or twice maybe?much.[link] I've always been a night owl lol

It's very nice like this. I like the moon thought I took it as dying sun first. In mythologies it is the moon responsible for the cycles and changes, because of its phases, so it fits well.

The way the art itself flows with such a formality that causes passion to overflow through my body when I see this...it's breath taking...Well done indeed and this was without a doubt considered as "Art". Not to mention overall it's such a wonderful inspiration this drawing gives me! So detailed along with a great moral sense of value, delightful scenery added with details beyond mere words! Wow, thanks so much for your kind words and overview. I really like how how drawings look on colored paper, it really does give it a different edge and feel to the piece. I've always loved the idea of trying to combine some bits or realism into something sort of surreal or conceptual. It makes me happy knowing that some of my artwork gives people joy and inspiration, it's doing just what I hoped for.
