In answer to the reason for the lack of most attributes, she IS a prototype-alien, up specialized and not yet adapted to survive. Great image, very nicely done.

I thought of it as a first ancestor as well. I even combined a similar head design to my character that I'm working on currently. But I guest u can see the unedited version in my ID icon, lolz
I absolutely thought the Deacon was gorgeous in the end of the movie and you've captured it's look so well. It looked like an actual birth and I don't see why people necessarily hate the movie. I mean it had its flaws but at same time it was a really good suspense and sci-fi thriller. I mean you even figure out why the Engineers were carrying the Xenomorph eggs on the ships.
It might not be clear to some people, though it was either: they were to use the Xenos for biowarfare against earth and other planets, and/or use the Xenomorphs to harvest the humans and make more of the engineers later on, But the plan obviously backfired in the end and the engineers were left to die by their own creations.
...sorry I'm like an Uber nerd when it comes to Alien and Predator movies, XD

Deacon is a new type. Not exactly the same species as the Xenomorphs but the same source.

Oh Woops! I just assumed it was an ancestor to the xenomorphs (the rate these buggers evolve). Why is it called Deacon?
