this my ting-

I wanted to create more conceptual/ symbolic works. Kinda 'vogue' -ish inspired too a ha.
Here I wanted to portray Han's feelings of being trapped? I didn't want to draw the obvious cage, and since the body swap rp, she's become associated with the peacock bird.

Funny thing about peacocks is they hold many meanings in different cultures. You can view them here and what I found interesting is how they all relate to Han in some way. The most interesting meanings are:
1) According to Margaret Renner, a theologist, the eye-studded feather of a peacock is an important object that wards off evil spirits (ironic bc she made a deal with the devil).
2) In Christianity it symbolises resurrection, immortality, and renewal associated with spiritual teachings.
3) There is a myth that the peacock is the slayer of serpents (and in Adam and Even, the serpent was the devil/ demon)
4) In Eastern Europe, they were seen as bad luck. There is superstition that one who sleeps on a bed with peacock feathers will bring death to the sleeper.
5) In many cultures it represents 'all-seeing' and 'omniscient' due to the feathers looking like eyes. But here the feathers are covering her eyes so she can't see shit l o l. Han is only a child, she knows nothing.

Yes I know my painting is very rough, I wish it was rougher. I like rough painting that show brush strokes yes. It was very hard not to blend so much hng. I tried using another brush on top of the one I already use to create more texture but eh-- I'm not very good at using more than one brush orz.
