All the cookie cutters are self made, but I haven't made all of them, so thanks goes to

for these animals (: (if you have anything against me posting a picture including gingerbread I made with your cutters, please let me know. )

and who hasn't posted pictures of her cookie cutters on dA (she made the fish- and cat-shaped cutters. (Same goes for you, If you don't want me to unveil the secret shapes of your cutters here on dA, please tell me )

I have decorated every gingerbread in the picture myself, though (:

Looks like a lot of fun! I've never decorated cookies... is it tradition in your family? I especially like the deep sea fish one!

Thank you, up here in Finland many choose to decorate gingerbread (piparkakku), which we bake and eat around christmas. They just use to have more. . . traditional shapes (such as stars, hearts, angels, pigs etc.)

Thank you

Wow! Pigs? Any particular reason they're considered traditional? That's really interesting. Sounds fun. I wonder if I can do that over Christmas.

I say go for it!

I think pigs are traditional, since ham is a traditional food on the christmas eve, often considered the most important food on the table.

About in the same way that turkey is important on thanksgiving over there, I think. . .

Ok, cool.

And yeah, you're right! Thanksgiving is even called "Turkey Day" by a lot of people.
