Hi Trevor I was wondering when you sculpt a face with a beard do you initially sculpt the beard or use reference to sculpt a shaved face first, then add the beard. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I do it just as you suspected, where I sculpt the face without the beard first, and establish the jaw and chin to help achieve the face first. Then adding the beard on top of that is usually quite fun and enjoyable. If you sculpt the beard first, There are usually problems that crop up. Hope that helps!

Amazing work Trevor, I can't wait to get this and Luv from NECA. Β Any chance of 1/6 scale figures?

Thank you so much! I can't wait to get these from NECA either. hah! Both figures looked like they came out so good, and I'm really happy to have been a small part of Wallace.
I don't know of any official 1:6 figures. Utterly crazy that this movie wasn't more popular....I think it will be a cult favorite, along with the original, and some day we'll get lots of collectibles....One can hope!

Yeah, it's really a magical thing to create the illusion of depth in 2D...very challenging but very fun!

Yea and always satisfying when dome right and the right results pan out
But I guess it's also fun doing 3d models cus you can literally start out with a block and then get to basic rough shapes and then smoothen them out to create your contours and bone structures
Like you have shown ^^

Before I noticed the title, I knew exactly who the portrait belonged to; Jared Leto has a very distinct and easily recognizable facial structure, and you very accurately sculpted it.Β Your sculpture of Wallace's head is spot on, especially with the meticulous attention to detail on his hair and his beard.
Very well done!
Niander Wallace was one of my favorite characters from the film, and each scene with him was ominous and foreboding.

That's wonderful to hear! Thank you very much.
I loved that the Wallace character couldn't quite reach the heights of his predecessor, Tyrell, no matter how great his achievements were. There was always a hubris in the idea of creating replicants and controlling them and their life-span, but it felt more apparent in Wallace than it ever does is Tyrell. Very cool!!
