This is a constant issue. I either feel really old, or really young. This has a few causes, as shown above.Sorry if not so wordy today, just got back from a full day of work on a Sunday. So tired T_T

Ohh, i just moved to Germany this year and i feel so very much the same way. Although learning is hard, because if I ask then to repeat it, they'll pick up on my English accent and repeat what they said in English, which means i'll never learn! D:

Oh yes! I sometimes have that problem here. That or they'll repeat it muuuuch slower and in non formal speech, which means I don't get practice at normal speech OR formal speech T_T

Haha, yes. We've started listening drills in Japanese class and I have way too much trouble catching whatever the actors say. Especially when you can't see them and none of the material bothers to explain situations beforehand. Don't mind me, I'm just bitter about class right now >_>

It's terrible b/c I really do have good hearing, but not when it comes to people talking. Even in English I'm like, WHAT?? SAY THAT AGAIN, SONNY. It's just worse in Japanese ^_^

Ouch xDD I don't blame you, especially with all the words that sound the same X'D makes it so easy to interpret things out of context by accident.
Usually for me it's the other way around, 'cause I talk really fast normally, and then I switch to Japanese and I'm just all "OH GAWD THESE PEOPLE TALK SO FAST"
