beautifully captured! I like how the sky and the water reflect each other. The lighting for the sky and the water is just perfect which created a stunning effect. the clouds and sea are captured in motion which reflected what you were trying to say about a storm coming. Nicely done!

Cool photo, the seaweed at the bottom is an unnecessary distraction so it would be better if you cropped it of but apart from that good composition. The white water is a bit overwhelming so I would have made it a little darker and the black is way stronger than you would get in reality but the detail in the rocks and whatever is growing on them is awesome, how long was the exposure?

Thanks for your comments, you make some good points.

The white water is a bit strong, however post-processing darkening it would just make it all a dull grey, so I'm afraid that if I want it darker I'd have to go back and re-shoot it! And if I cropped out the distracting seaweed I'd have to lose a fair amount of the area of water which is actually nicely detailed, which I'd rather not sacrifice. I could clone it out I suppose, but I prefer not having to do things like that. The strong black was partly from the use of a couple of graduated ND filters of differing strengths. I think it balances out the white pretty well.

I'm glad you like the rocks! The exposure time was 1.6 seconds.

Good rebuttal, you are right about everything but I still reckon it would look better if you cropped it. It's a cool scene it's just the black sky and white water don't work for me but they do balance each other out and you can't change them anyway.
