Im really itching to this pelt, however I'm so new to taxidermy its not even funny. Whats the difference between a wet tan and dry one if I may ask?

a wet tanned means it wasn't dried out after tanning. it can be dried and broken so that the skin turns to leather like normal. Most people like wet tanned skins for Lifesize mounting.

drying it out means that it just needs to be left out and as it dries it needs to be broken by stretching the skin. As the skin dries and you stretch it the skin will turn white and to leather, there is no salting needed it's already tanned there are youtube videos on it.

Beautiful pelt! What's the difference between the tans wet and regular? Does it affect how well preserved they are or no?
