Description I've been listening to Nat19's curse of strahd DnD sessions and I'm at the part with the dragon haunted mansion, which is really, really cool. On the other hand if your big bad is a vampire and he at some point did battle with this awesome silver dragon, why would you not have the once proud and righteous dragon become some kind of monster of the night consumed by an unending thirst for the blood of the innocent, I mean come on!
It's also Smaugust and I've been re-learning how to draw again, so I decided to do this quick and super rough doodle of my concept of a generic dragon who became a vampire. I love the idea of a Sapient dragon becoming a powerful spellcaster, so I imagine ol' toothy up there was experimenting on his own body and infected himself with vampirism for the shapeshifting or something. Maybe he really thought edward from twilight was a total stud and wanted to be like him, either way he made himself into a vampire. He now likes to take long, midnight walks in his "wolf" form involving lots of moon gazing, draining entire major cities of their blood, and casting sparks into the air to look like he's calling lightning from the sky. He's got a flaming raven skull that floats over his head, that's his familiar Jeffatrix. She tries to be his conscience, but as a several thousand year old monstrosity who craves blood, the dragon don't really care and just snakes those meaty proboscis-s into town to slurp down all the blood, like an invasion of giant, red leaches.
When he shifts back into a dragon he keeps the shed "wolf" pelt around his neck, like a cloak made of himself. He might be a furry. Maybe that's why he doesn't play nice with other dragons, being a weird goth nerd made himself a vampire just so he could turn into a wolf. Poor Vampire Dragon

I don't art much anymore, and when I do it's often not palaeo themed, which kind makes me sad, but what can you do. I am getting uneasy with the number of dragons in my gallery. I do genuinely think dragons are overhyped, but they're still fun to play around with.
