I did want to give it a semi-organic look, think of it as a kind of shell. And about the polys, yeah I know but time is running out fast and I dont really have time to go back and fix things that didnt come out right in the first attempt.
All I wish for is that it will be flying past the screen too fast to realise that the rear bit is quite low poly.

Well you did it very well, did u use some kind of celular map (u may know what I am talking about if u use max)?

I actually used lightwave, but I think I know what your talking about. And all the textures are done by hand, apart form the black trim on some of the shell, I used a procedural.

oh, sorry you were talking about the blue effect, well its actually a procedural called 'FMB' I think.
