It was always an honor for a woman to be remembered and featured on an aircraft as our brave flyers performed incredibly dangerous missions in WWII. At least that is how I see it as a woman. I do not believe it is sexist at all... not when you realize a woman probably help build the aircraft they would use, deliver it to the airfield for the crews to take and prepare for battle, and ultimately in allot of cases refit the aircraft after being damaged if they were taken out of service. Men and women served in the fight in all sorts of capacities. Why should we be offended when they choose to honor us by naming the aircraft after a woman and let "her" deliver destruction to the enemy... I think it is quite fitting...

This style of art work was a sign of the times and I have always loved vintage aircraft art and the romance (yes I said romance) that helped our military get through these awful times. The photo here is a work of genius and talent that comes from the force that is Donna Domenitzo. She always manages to put together some beautiful artwork in vintage styles and she is the one who gets the credit for this little piece of the puzzle. Oh, but wait... there's more. Now on a personal note... To all of the men and women currently serving, or who has served, in our military... THANK YOU!!! We can never adequately repay you for your service or sacrifice to keep us safe and free. To all of you who have family who are serving, who has served, or who have sacrificed ultimately... THANK YOU and we do not forget you either... Having been one of you, I understand intimately the stress, anxiety, and loneliness when your loved one is away serving... it is never easy... So, we love you.... honor you.... and if I could, I would hug and kiss you all... but THANK YOU!!! You are always in my thoughts and prayers....
