Description Bye bye butterfly flutterbye bye

Pencils on A3 bristol.

Tried to bring some depth to her skin and add a few freckles.
Nose is probably a bit to big but im happy overall.
Not happy with the butterfly, need some practice on that

I think the lips could use a lil work but it's an overall great job. The lighting and shading is fairly smooth n i love the shimmer in her eyes

Lovely shading on the face and nice detail, but there's something about the proportions that isn't right. Hold this drawing up in front of a mirror and look at it and you'll know what I mean. Doing this can help you pick out where you're going wrong. I often do this if something doesn't look right with my own drawings

Thanks for the advice and comment
I know the nose is a bit big but im not sure about the other proportions.
I should probably keep a mirror close when im drawing then as this seems a problem in most of my drawings

Oo well another lesson learned

Wow, you're getting better each drawing! Lovely contrast and smooth shading in the face. Great job with the texture for her face, too! The freckles and the little highlights rΓ©ally bring it to life! Your first try at this is way more subtle and successful then mine!

There are two things that stand out a bit (and you know I say this because I want to help you grow even more). The eyebrows and her neck/upper torso. Your eyebrows are almost the same in every drawing, you have all hairs growing in the same directions and of the same length. I think it would really help the realism if you took a closer look at the brows in your refs and try to incorporate how they overlap, curve, and aren't usually equally full across the entire length (this is of course always more visible with the men than with the ladies and their groomed brows, but still). Understand what I mean by that?
As for her neck/upper chest; it seems a bit rushed as opposed to how carefully the face is shaded. And there's something sticking out where I would not expect it... (Next to the muscle going from her clavicle to her head.)

Really though, overall I'm seriously impressed by your growth and improvement! Big kudos to you sir/madam (doorhalen wat niet van toepassing is)!!!

Thanks For the compliment

Not sure what happened in the neck guess i need some anatomy classes to understand why it looks weird. Think i overshaded a bit as its really fuzzy in the reference picture.

The eyebrows ur completely right I always do them last and thats probably wrong of me as i usually leave a straight line for them wich isn't shaded. And then ive watched the reference so many times that i just wing those without checking (bit overconfident i guess )

Thanks again for the great comment and tips.
(It is sir btw)
