Description Taken from the top of the Empire State Building, looking out across New York. Photos don't really do the view justice in my opinion but I tried my best to capture it.

I'm incredibly sorry but I was on the hunt for a good NYC skyline for a piece I was doing- so I borrowed this and it worked wonderfully! I completely understand if you're against it but I just thought you should know! I'll leave you credit in my deviation!

Did you use a tripod? I mean 1/6 sec is not so easy without one...

no, unfortunately they don't let you take tripods in so i ended up resting my camera on the fence! if i'd been allowed a tripod i'd have so many amazing photos

I finally returned from my trip to New York. I had my Gorillapod SLR Zoom with me and they didn't complain at the checkpoint. The great thing about the Gorillapod is that you can twist it around the fence
I ended up making over 400 pictures on that evening

i've looked on your page and the new york photos are amazing, well done! i confess, i'd never heard of a gorillapod but i now have one. i only wish i'd had one to take to new york.

Thanks The Gorillapod is really great, it doesn't replace the regular tripod completely but it's the best for traveling because of the size and weight. I thinks what's missing though is a ball head or something like that so that the camera is more flexible... I'll look into that

Which Gorillapod did you get? The Zoom SLR?
