This is not Yuri, rather Roger in Yuri's clothing.
Yeah, this is inspired from the bad ending of Shadow Hearts Covenant.*SPOILERS*
Roger said something along these lines to Yuri "Don't you even remember your own father?" Because Yuri lost all his memories, Roger sought to gain his trust by claiming to be his dad.
But as a Covenant joke, and seeing how interested Roger was to have Karin wear Margarete's dating outfit, one could ask just what did Roger and Karin been doing behind the scene? HAHAHAHAHA!

HEY!! That's not Yuri...in more ways than one! ;-p *has a giggle fit* It always cracks me up that his name means well...female-female sex...so guys tend to get disapointed when you say I have some Shadow Hearts Yuri fan art! ;-p
AH...the bad ending...you know, I always felt that if they went with the bad ending and he shows up in SH 3, Yuri would end up being a bad guy you'd have to kill. I mean they made a point of saying in the game, how it's his strong personality that keeps Amon in check, why he hasn't been possessed and taken over like Rasputin, or like what happened when the government "broke" Nicholai, and let his demon take control of his body. So really...to me it makes perfect sense, that Yuri without his memories, his personality, would eventually be taken over by Amon, and try to destroy the world just like the two demons who took over Nicky and Rasputin wanted to do. (Well...destroy humanity at any point.)

I don't think it crossed a lot of people's mind, since I see everyone getting so upset over the good ending, and well...a lot of them seem to want the bad ending to be the cannon ending, so Yuri will still be alive. So I don't think it occured to them how different he'd be, and how most likely he'd end up being possessed now. Man...the good ending is brutal...even knowing what's going to happen, everytime I see that one thing come up and spear him, I let a gasp. *sniffle* Yuri!! *glomps onto him*
Yup I agree with you and now that I that you mentioned it, there is a flaw in the bad ending I mean why didn't Amon or the rest of the monster that Yuri killed take over
Maybe they just wanted to leave it up to fans to guess what happens next? Or maybe they thought they might do a third game with him as the star, so didn't want to state something that they'd have to contradict later? Or maybe...when he wished for peace...not only did his memories and personalities get stolen, but all his fusions as well? Hopefully Roger will take good care of Yuri! I do wonder...do you think when Roger finds him in the bad ending...maybe he just got out of that time passage a few moments ago? Or did he wander around Europe a few years before Roger found him?

I know! It would upset me too...even worse if we had to kill him! I think that is why they chose to write him out completely...give him the good ending, and keep fans from showing up wanting murder and vengeance at the game people if they tried to make us kill Yuri in Shadow Hearts 3. Let's just hope they don't make him an optional boss in case they do a extended edition. I want to play the extended/deluxe version of Covenant but...damn it...they never release special versions of the games here in the States. *pouts* I need to learn Japanese so I can play Covenant, and see all the extra scenes!

I find roger's place to be peacefull and quiet (typical place for research and studies) and Yuri did wished for a peacefull life in the bad ending...
well there are 2 new things has been added:

I think Yuri and Karin in my game were level 80 or 81, and than Ana was one level lower, and then Kurando one level lower than Ana. *blush* I'm not sure how they got so high, unless I just got lost in some of the sidequests...I didn't have to run around doing any leveling up on purpose. (I did do that early on when I first got Ana cause I thought level 24 was too low a level, but lost interest in leveling up by the time I hit 27 or 28 levels for Yuri.) But...that extra boss might kill me since I don't know how to use the keys. I tried to use one for Joachim during the man festival, cause Gama was kicking his butt big time...He almost made me cry from frustration the third time I got game over. Didn't help Joachim kept going beserk on me...I always had the choice of either using pure seed to restore his SP and Gama kills me...or attacking Gama (not killing him) and then going beserk...and getting killed again. The only reason I even won that fight was cause the last time I tried, when Joachim went beserk, that time instead of posing and flexing his muscles, he actually attacked Gama...and won!! But...due to being beserk Joachim didn't get any exp. But...at least I beat that damn sidequest and got to see the hilarious follow uo! I also think my Joachim was too low in level...he was only 50...or maybe 52...I'm playing the game again, and this time I've been using Joachim more...(though I'll be kicking him out once I get to Japan for Kurando.) so if I do the man festival again...he'll be uber powerful and destroy Gama without going beserk! *hope hope*
Ah...I feel sorta guilty hijacking your comment thread by talking about the game! ;-p You're so lucky to have the deluxue edition. Part of it does make me worry to be able to play the game in Japanese, since I wouldn't be able to read what the special attacks and spells are....but the real reason I want to know Japanese is to be able to understand exactly what is being said in the scenes, especially the story ones!
