This was a T-shirt design that I did for my brother-in-law for his birthday. We are both big fans of "Quantum Leap" so since there's not a lot of merchandise out there with Dr. Sam Beckett on it, I thought I'd make it for him. It was printed on a Royal Blue shirt. The story doesn't end there, just a couple of months ago, this image was selected to be offered on countless items thru Cafepress for "The Leap Back," the official 20th Anniversary "Quantum Leap" Convention which takes place at the end of March 2009 in Los Angeles. I took some pictures of a few people wearing your design this weekend at the convention. I read that you would want some if anyone went and saw it. Yes, Scott and Don did see your design and I believe Tom told them the story. He was sure to wear your shirt when meeting them so that they would see it no matter what anyone else did.

Thanks for letting me know, I really appreciate it. It's sort of surreal knowing that Scott and Don saw something that I designed...especially being that it's something related to their show. When I was kid I'd draw while watching "Quantum Leap." So it's definitely life coming full circle to have been part of the Leap Back, even if it was only my t-shirt design and me not being there in person. I'll have to send Tom an e-mail to thank him for telling the two of them the story of the design. I would so love to see those photo if you wouldn't mind...and if you didn't mind me posting them on my website for a follow up story on my design, I would be very thankful. If anything, I'd love to see them.

It is something strange when things connect isn't it? It was surreal being there too, getting to talk with them and remembering watching the show and how much it's effected me. It was a great experiance, and was my first con ever. You are more than welcome to post what I've sent on your site. I read it before I went and thought it was great. I'm glad you made the design because there really isn't anything out there. Your style is really good too, so it was perfect for the show.
