Many gaze in awe at the majestic splendour of trees. They admire its imposing stature; its colourful foliage. Yet there is more than this beauty which meets our eye. We can glean many life lessons from these skyscrapers of nature. For instance, a tree encounters innumerable storms throughout its seemingly eternal lifetime; no matter, it still stands strong. It does not stand by its own might however; its roots reach out beneath view to support it continually. Moreover, if a person attempts to shake it, it does not sway – not even an inch.
When we face the stormy trials of life, we must not relent. We must remain upright. We need to root ourselves in truth to dissuade hollow, untested philosophies from capturing our verdant minds. But first of all, we must seek truth.
