Thank you~! Drawing friends' OC gave me obligation to draw. ^w^ Definitely, plus procrastination too. But... *sniff sniff*, I'm gonna be really busy again next week to study for two tests. XD I think my Vampire vs Werewolf Splatfest fan art will have to wait for a long time. I'm glad Statisky likes it, I'm so happy~! ^^  My friend also brought up he look like a ninja too, this is unintentional. It could be the black clothing he's wearing but then again, his design have Japanese-ish design too. XD  Before, I did look up references for poses but I failed every time. But I'm think I'm getting a hang of it again, I just need more patience and keep trying until I got the pose right.

Thank you~! Good analysis, I did my best. :> I normally tend to have bright outlines around him so Stat's OC doesn't blend in the background and as you mentioned, this made him stand out more too. I didn't use any Photoshop nor any fancy computer art software at all, I did all the art in my tiny Nintendo 3DS (specially Disney Art Academy). I would like a drawing tablet someday. XD Anyway for the waves, yeah, I did used the (normal) Brush in light opacity to do the coloring for the waves. After painting streaks of cool colours, I blend them in smooth diagonal-direction using the Smudge Stick gently in Streak mode (basically blending the colors together).

Nooo not the tests. Hehe, I look forward to seeing that Splatfest art when you get the chance. I wonder what Werewolf inklings would look like XD As for he design, I figured it was intentional but I can see black clothing and Japanese style would cause me to think that. XD Getting the poses right does take a bit of time, even when using references. But I believe you can do it with some practice.  

Really? No computer programs at all? Dang I honestly wouldn't have thought that being the case. I haven't tried Disney art academy personally but seeing the results. And so that how you did the waves, awesome. I might try something similar for any waves i might make in the future. I'll probably end up doing beach scene pictures at some point.

Now that I know that its all done on a 3DS, I have an even greater newfound respect for your art. I loved it before but wow. all on such a small screen(at least tiny compared to my laptop screen. XD) That takes some serious coordination.

    Hm maybe drawing the poses are a little rusty, I used to able to do decent action poses before though. X''D But yeah you're right, at least the rest of it like the coloring are still in high quality, haha. Ay, I'm nooooo best artist yet but your words are too kind~ ^///^ 

   Now that you mentioned it what you brought it up, he does look alot like Stat's Inksona. XD The Inkling here is actually Edgar, Stat's new character. I think if I made his hair coloured in blue, he would look like a different character. Edgar's default hair-colored is blue but in Miiverse and pencil traditional drawing, his hair is coloured in pure-black instead. I'm not sure which color I'll go for, but I decided to go for both black and blue. Really glad to hear you like how I done his hair, I love both combination of black and blue colours. They both have good contrast, including his black and white outfit. ^^ How did you know...? XD Dang, g-good analysis Angi! The background was definitely referenced to The Great Wave Off Kanazawa Japanese famous painting. The blue-pattern on his coat made me draw something like that. X''D

    Thank you sis~! Stat already saw this on Twitter and Miiverse (she's somewhat inactive here), she seem to like it alot. She even have this drawing as her icon on Discord, I'm so happy. Stat is a really really good friend, she's very kind to so many people and like me, drew many gifts for so many people. She's very admirable. Her FCs are full of life and personality because she drew them alot, and made countless, fun interactions with other friend's FC. I'll try to improve in anatomy to make the drawing more dynamic, but you're right again, if Stat loves it despite some flaws here and there, this is definitely worth the time. ^^

I think you just haven't been drawing characters doing dynamic poses lately. I've noticed that nowadays you draw the characters either standing full-bodied or just in concept arts/sketches. But I still also think that you are really good at drawing action poses when you actually do! In my humble opinion, you are the best artist because of the artist herself; we've talked about this, Tran. :> In my eyes, you are the best artist in more than just amazing art. ^^

I know, right! I was thinking the whole that Edgar looked just like Stat! The resemblance is uncanny! XD The mix of black-and-blue for his hair is fine the way you drew it. I love that combination of colors especially. The Great Wave Off Kanazawa painting? I knew it! I knew those waves also looked familiar. That's perfect for the theme of Edgar's Japanese-inspired, samurai-looking outfit.

Yeah, I know that Stat is inactive here. I also noticed that she deleted a lot of her drawings from over the years/months. She certainly does like to draw a lot. Hey, at least she actually balances from drawing other peoples' characters with drawing her own characters, unlike a certain one-sama that I know that I am now poking with a stick. :>>> pokes one-sama Tran with a stick XD Anyway, I still haven't really had a conversation with Stat, at least not a long enough one to consider her "a friend." Maybe just an acquaintance, but I know she's super nice to everyone she meets and that's all it takes for me to like her in spite of it. ^^

Pull off any dynamic poses are really difficult, I need to rely on references to help me out. Just because I know how to draw the arm in front view for example, doesn't mean I know how to draw side-view too. xD Learning some realistic anatomy lesson should be one way to help me overcome these tough challenges (plus overcoming any frustrations too whenever I can't draw something I like). Thank you so much! Everyone's support often kept me going, including you. I hope I can do the same for you. I really really love reading your comments, even I haven't respond for months. :''D

I can't remember when exactly but Stat may have deleted most of her drawings around June or July. But yeah at least she's quite active on Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, and I think amiino too. Stat draw so frickin' fast, like able to draw 1-3 drawings per day. Thus she often have time to balance to draw her own characters and others too. xD Nuu, don't poke me, have mercy! xD LOL I'm planning during the whole month of December, I'll try to dedicated my time to not draw other people's FCs but my own (and other canon characters). That's understandable, you and Stat are barely acquittance but I can say both of you guys are really nice and awesome friends. ^^

Yup, it's her birthday today. ^^ I also drew her something last year so I know her birthday is around October or something. It's okay if you didn't know, she hid her birthday on DA so most didn't know too.
