Lets, see…this is going to be one of my infamous “First time drawing…” scenerios. Wanted to see what would work with my normal “details.” Eliminated the dress/flap thing with a more workable split dress with dark pants. No skull belt, I dunno…seemed a bit dated/creepy (who has a whole belt of small skulls strung together into a belt? What is that suppose to tell me?) replaced with a more military setup, back gun holsters, replacement clips, basic thief gear, and the knife. Cuz my Mystique WILL STAB AT YOU!
I think the pluses and minues are there, but the great thing about her is that she’s a shapeshifter so any look…..is a good look…..*shrugs*

She never seems to have weapons on her (maybe its also some weird side-effect of her shapeshifting abilities) when she's drawn. Its so weird....a bit lazy.

Thank you! Yeah, her....split dress just seemed like (for me) something she'd be tripping over all the time when running. But hey, she's a shapeshifter, she probably got used to it.

Yeah, realistically that would probably be the case, but at the same time people with super powers isn't the most realistic either, so perhaps the creators weren't too concerned with that
And yes, Mystique is so stylish I'm sure she can run just fine in it

I've always wondered how the hell her clothes work. Do they change with her? Do they just disappear? They tried to explain it in the movies by making her "naked" and having her scales become clothes when she shifted, but that still wasn't a great explanation, and it was never adopted by the comics.
