☆ Background:

Lin became a part of the church at the age of 14, when he wiped out his own family and relatives, who all happened to be cumimis in hiding. Strangely enough he shows no hostile behavior towards humans, but it's a very different case when it comes to other cumimis. Church used this trait and had him carry out a whole lot of missions with wiping out settlements and hunting down wanted cumimis.

Normally he would have never get dispatched to house dealing with gray matters, but since in the city of Degate there have already been eight causalities during the first moth of active duty - one side leader killed, one side leader missing, one priest missing, two cumimis killed and three missing - he was dispatched due to being extremely sturdy. Being a Rank 4 Deva type cumimi, combined with years of combat experience against other cumimis meant he was perfect for combat and chances of him being killed were very low.

In a sense, he got sent there as a bodyguard for the priests. Otherwise no one would agree to being dispatched in Degate anymore.

☆ Time in the house:

To Lin this job was a hassle and pain in ass from the very first day. The house was as bad as the rumors told - danger on every step - both from grays and cumimis alike. And one of the worst things being - the rate of growth of the powers of these kids. Many got killed, but those who survived came back way stronger. And one really disgusting ability user was a dog named Neo. Lin felt himself being knocked out on numerous occassions and once he could wake up - multiple days had passed, something had changed and he felt it was something important. He couldn't really work properly like this.

And to make matters worse... he met again with one frigging transvestite from past and... learned he had three offspring. It was bad enough he had went along with a human's wishes years ago only to learn he was actually a female and worst of all it had all led to this. This human is batshit crazy-- it's a miracle he even survived this long living with something like that in his house.

Lin had no idea how to even behave or treat the three or Kim. He tried to just pretend like they were air and kept up his job as well as he could, given the fact that one mindforcer could knock him out at any moment. One of the girls attacking him constantly didn't make it better either. She was already a sixth ranker, same as other two siblings - but all he did was evade and disarm, she was too wet behind her ears to take him on regardless how strong her ability was, and it's not like he could seriously harm her either, when she looked that much like Kim.

His days following that were plainly uncomfortable and he couldn't run either. His task was to guard the priests in the house and erase anyone too dangerous and he kept it up. But without him wishing or desiring for it - the girls kept spending time around him and Kim continued to come to annoy him and it became really hard to treat them like air. They were hitting him out of his balance and making things complicated, hard, mushy and disturbing.

And one day, cumimis started to turn into humans. Upon seeing that and hearing about it, Lin walked back to his room and sat on his bed. His mind was both blank and noisy - these two alternating, like with a broken video that kept freezing from time to time. What does that mean? What is a cumimi? What is a human? Lin does not know anymore and to keep being himself, he needed that boundary, but now it's getting cracks.

* Hunting an killing a strong opponent is a bit like a game, although he does not enjoy being hurt. Still it does feel satisfying to kill a strong 'evil' cumimi.
