Description Happy Birthday, ~ I bet you thought I'd forget, but I remembered even without DA telling me! XD Plus, you are an amazingly profound person who is incredibly fun to talk to, so I wasn't going to miss a chance to draw something for you. I love that you think of things in a different and abstract way, which probably contributes to your wisdom. (don't deny it ) I hope you have a wonderful birthday ... you certainly deserve it. ^o^

So ... motivation behind picture: the animal is ~SilentShout-030 's fursona, so that much is obvious, but I seem to remember something about a willow tree being significant to her somehow (and if not, I like willow trees ). Also, this is my first time using Watercolor Pencils (I may be in love), so feel free to give critique. ^w^

I really like this picture. I am not sure if you were going for an emotional effect, but you definitely got one! First of all the position of the head and the pose gives a wandering like searching feel for who she is. To me the tree seems to represent like all her memories and how they have withered away and she misses them., but it seems she is content and ready for new things because the rainbow back ground portrays these things. I really love your use of colors and this picture brings a lot of emotion that I really enjoy. Incredible picture. <3

you used to colors well ^3^ for the backround did you use crayon or just pencil?
its very nice, this pic could possibly have a part 2 to it where its kind of in a more swirvy shapely like form as if shes focusing her energy to make something of the world

Oh my god....
I'm literally crying right now....today has been such an emotional day for everyone...
Even though 18 is only a number, symbolically it represents so much more. I have had the absolute best birthday I have ever had today, and to come on here at the end of it and receive such a huge outpouring of love means so much to me...
I seriously can't thank you enough, this is so incredibly sweet of you to do for me...
I mean, just the fact that you would 1, remember my birthday without DA telling you, and 2, take time out of your day to draw something for me, means so much to me already, but the fact that it is just absolutely gorgeous tops it off!!
I love the watercolor, and you captured Kira perfectly! Her ear fluff has never looked so good! XD
It really means something to me that you noticed my willow trees too...^^
As much as I hate to give symbols away, the willow tree is representative of my soulmate... ^^
He lives in another state, so in a way, its kinda like we get to celebrate together in your drawing! ^^
God...I really...really cant express how much I appreciate you doing this for me...its a perfect ending to an otherwise perfect day...
so I just thank you so much...you are such an incredibly kind and generous human being...

Oh my goodness you have no idea how much this comment means to me ... I may print it out and stick it to my wall. XD Oh noes, don't cry! *huggles you* 18 is a bit more than just a number, at least in our culture, because it symbolizes adulthood ... although with the amount of wisdom you hold, I'd say you passed that boundary years ago. ^^ *tries to twirl, but the bus stops me* Haha, you like her ear fluff! My friend came in while I was drawing the picture out, and he saw the reference of you I was using and says, 'wait, is that coming from her ears? She's OLD! And yes, XD I get the ear fluff reaction a lot >w<; I suppose I didn't really consider why it was there in the fist place as much as I just thought it looked really cool and dramatic X3
I was actually really surprised that you caught that, (the willow tree thing) I think I've only mentioned it once, and even in my drawings its more hidden than anything I would think,...the fact that someone was able to pick up on something so subtle, yet something that means the world to me really, is really nice to see...
sometimes you feel like all of your efforts are in vain..
but before I get to rambling (which I think I tend to do more often than I'd like to admit x.x ) I just really want to say thank you...^^

I don't know, I remember a journal that said ... wait ... this one [link] and it seemed cryptic but I assumed it was probably about a person, and if not, it had to be significant somehow. ^^ But I could have played it off and said I felt willow tree-y that day if you hadn't had any symbol involving that. Oh yes, its unbearable I say, just unbearable XD

Oh! yeah, that makes it pretty obvious I suppose, sometimes I write things knowing fully that most people won't pay attention, so there's kind of a safety net there, but...you paid attention! XD

Symbolism aside, willow trees are pretty awesome =w= Though my absolute favorite is the Wisteria, its not actually a tree, but a vine that kinda comes and does hostile takeover of a normal tree, but I love them, its like the flower version of a willow tree, (and I'm really not much of a flowery kinda person..)

I adore willow trees .... and ooo, wisteria is beautiful! I know I've seen it before, and the way it can kind of curve up the sides of houses and such is amazing~ Plus, you've gotta love the name. ^^
