Captured this guy this morning while having coffee.... I really like this time of year here. The Rose of Sharons and Butterfly bushes and Blue Bells are blooming, and the butterflies are all out doing their thing along with the bees creating honey for winter.

The greens are so lush and provide a perfect background for the wings of this swallowtail, displayed in their full glory!

i only discovered recently that you guys have these beauts over the pond. they are the largest butterfly we have in the U.K. and i'm lucky enough to live next door the national swallowtail conservation trust site
