Description
I thought about making a series about the scientific miracles in Islam, that means things, that are mentioned in the Quran and that our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said and that were impossible to be known in that time.God highlights the bee by devoting a whole chapter to her.
The various benefits of honey, the facts about the bee's incredible social system, the fact that worker bees are female (in this Quran-verse the female form of the verb is used!) were scientifically investigated nowadays.

i really like the picture and the miracles of Allah are so amazing im surprised that "scientologists" want to be stupid and say that there's no God, even Hawking said that God had nothing to do with the creation of the earth.. oh well, they'll get theirs. (by the way im a muslim artist too i would appreciate if you could find time to look at my art!)

Why do you say that these things were impossible to be known at that time? Humans have been interacting and learning from bees and using honey at least since the neolithic (10 000 years ago). Ancient egyptians, greeks, romans and even the mesoamerican cultures harvested honey and cultured bee hives.
Also, although we tend to say worker bees are "female" this is a mere simplification. Its a really complex genetic system where some bees have one copy of the genome and others have two (not like mammals!). [link]
Still, its pretty amazing that the bee has such a highlight in the Quran! These are some of the most intersting animals out there irrespective of their value to humans.

I didn't mean to say, that Islam discovered honey.
Sure, humans have been using it for so long. But they have also been using things, that are definetely been proved as being totally inefficient. To highlight the medicinal benefit is very exceptional for someone, who was illiterate. And our Prophet (pbuh) was illetarate and a simple shepherd before. However the most interesting is the female form of verb. And although there is (definitely) a complex genetic system, you can finally determine, that the working bee is female - however it comes about.

I know Islam didn't discover honey but even a humble person of that period in History would probably be aware of its benefits, as people have been aware of the benefits of many natural products since ancient times (just think of the Chinese!).
As far as I know worker bees can not lay eggs or fertilize them so I don't know how far we can call them real females. In Portuguese and Spanish the word for bee is also female but I don't think that has anything to do with science. Not to mention one always has 50% chances of getting an animal's gender right just by guessing.
If you have to praise a connection between Islam and scientific advancement you should also mention the amazing mathematicians and astronomers from the Muslim world during the 10th to 14th centuries that made a revolution in these fields.
