genga xpThese days I was playing Pokémon Stadium in my old 64, and remembering how there were only 151 monsters back in those days (and how simple they look compared to the ones from these days xd).
Anyways, I used this guy to win one of the cups.
I remember trying to figure what it was supposed to be? A ghost accoding to the games, but according to my kiddo mind a ghost was a blanket with holes. With the passing of time I had to accept it as one of those things that just exist xd.
It's a thing I like about this one, it has a pretty odd desing for a ghost. Just a purple with cat ears and tail, thing. A pretty nice monster.
Anywas, I wanted to do more Pokémon since I got more sharpies. I hope you like it!

Yeah it's really interesting choice for a ghost looking dude, but hey he still looks badass as heck haha. And I will agree that the older Pokemon have much more simplistic designs and way less detail compared to the ones today (not saying they're bad nowadays, I still like a lotta them, it's just sometimes simplicity can be more identifiable)

Yeah I like them a lot, I always go for the classic (like Moltres), just saying that it feels kinda weird, like having your really old characters with your most recent characters xd, art evolution stuff one notices I think (evolution xd).
But one of my favorites of the new gen it's Drednaw, has a pretty old school design (I have to do that one). I always liked the reptile monsters heh.
Being watched while this guy pretends to be your shadow must be creepy. I can see why it's a favorite among fans when it's about ghost types.

Ahh I see haha, and yeah it feels strange to draw the older styles when the newer ones have a more mature feel to it. I guess sometimes people wanna just draw the good ol mons for old times sake I mean if anything GF and Nintendo are legit milking the heck out of Gen 1 right now amirite
Ohh yesss I agree very much, it 100% gives off that old school vibe... even if it's pre evo doesn't do quite the same. I also think the Wooloo line is the same in terms of old school style as well, just that simplicity but also the effectiveness. But I will say that some of the designs have grown on me the more I get used to them. Like with the Fossil Pokemon, I mean yeah you can call it lazy cause it's just something stuck on another thing, but I personally like that since it gives off a serious freak-of-nature vibe (and also the scientist that revives the fossils should be fired for making them suffer like that)
I mean, technically it would be more creepy compared to the casual "possesses household items for the lolz" or 'I am chandelier". Then again there's the "I will take this child" Driftloon and and the very weird Hypno line haha. I personally like to think it's the design itself; dark with a sinister evil grin, shows that it's 100% up to no good at all compared to the rest of the Ghost types
