For some reason, I got a very compelling image stuck in my head and had to draw it. Basically, this is Meta Knight as a much younger Star Warrior, possibly before he was even knighted. After awakening from his 100-year hibernation at the GSA base and realizing that Chuva hadn't made it with him, he still maintained a sliver of hope for years, even decades. Every night, he would wait for her Starship alone, praying that someday they'd be reunited. Of course, she never came.

The picture itself presented challenges in its need for a much more complex background than I'm used to pulling. I had to get...um, creative? with my Prismacolors to do the grass and the sunset. I contemplated scanning it in while I had only Meta Knight colored and doing the rest digitally, but I wanted to challenge myself, so this is traditional through and through.
