Description I guess this is one of the first of what I think of as fine art, inspired by a crazy treehouse picture from google *fuck pay-to-use stock sites, google images is so helpful*

Oh! and! New trees! I was just thinkin the other day how much your environment influences what you draw, Bill Watterson draws these awesome trees that I just don't have around here. Still don't even know what they're called, the cool white ones with the little half stripes around em. So I'm trying to just look at other people's worlds (and trees) and diversify a little bit.

What's your favourite hometown tree? I love redwoods

This is amazing. I love the tangled dark mass versus the straight, clean lines of the trees.
I always assumed the trees you're talking about from Bill Watterson's drawings were birch trees. They're all white with darker spots. I did a project with them in an art class a few years ago, I think they're gorgeous trees.
