Bird of the month on is the Bird-of-Paradise, so I painted one.No, this doesn't go on my Illustrated Lifelist . Not yet. : p
Watercolor, 2011. Irridescent birds are freaking difficult to paint, btw.

So this may be old, but it still caught my eye in the thumbnails as I was browsing colour challenge stuff. You did a really nice job of melding red to black, there. Colour me impressed!
