Great work! You are getting more abstract and less naturalist. Well done.

neato, is paintstorm the main program that you use to draw in now ?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Twarda8 In reply to Fofinho [2017-01-25 12:15:30 +0000 UTC]

I'm just experimenting with it now, but I'm not sure if I'll move from GIMP. As I stated elsewhere, the program is resources heavy (srsly wtf) and it chuckles with bigger canvases.

Typhlosion: the volcanic honey badger, who can also use nature power to confuse the heck out of foes by using it, if on water, to use the mind breaking move hydro pump *cue a lot of people whose minds are broken because of this technicality*

Twarda8 In reply to dinoking007 [2017-01-24 10:46:54 +0000 UTC]

Fire honey badge can be Typeless now. Which means Typhlosion as of gen 7 can be pure Grass or Ghost type. And with Soak, pure Water.
How cool is that?

I can't deny that Typhlosion still holds a place in my heart as one of my favourite, fully evolved starters too. UvU

Lovely work with this particular approach to the Pokemon as well, Twarda!

I really feel like lately (well not THAT lately, but still...) you are heading more and more towards a more stylised way of illustrating non-original characters. If you compare this last Typhlosion with the previous two you can clearly see that while ealier you tried to use the original concept as a starting point, now you just went with the idea of Typhlosion and realised a piece with a completely different vibe, as if it was your character and not someone else's. I don't know, I just feel like this. Also that's a really good use of different brushes on a single piece, which I'm noticing ever more often in your art.

Dunno, man. Sometimes I feel that way , sometimes another . I do whatever floats my boat at the moment and to the 'mons i liek. And I wanted to do that crazy-lookin' Typhlosion art in that Paintstorm software as a break from the work. Thanks tho!
