Do you mean that you would recolor this for an OC? Or is it just for this icon specifically?

For this particular icon, it shall be sold as it is. HOWEVER, I have open commissions for an icon just like this one! If you would like an icon of an OC of yours, please do consider my commissions. This icon and a custom icon is the same price.

Okay then. It just seems a little odd to be sold something so generic to Splatoon. I understand that people may have OCs that look like this character but I don't feel like this should be the ONLY icon available to ONE person. I don't want to tell you how to sell your icon(s) but when I saw this icon and read the description, it's off-putting; the "first come first serve" makes it sound like you're only selling this one icon to one person.
I know animated icons take a lot of time and effort and this has very smooth animation. Rather than sell just one to "first come first serve", sell it as an open icon. That way, you'd make a bit more and people would be willing to get one.
Course, I may just be looking too far into this and completely overlooking something and I know this is only an opinion. You are the artist so you can do what you'd like but I just thought I would share some insight.

I appreciate your feedback. I am a beginner when it comes to selling icons, so your words are very helpful to me. My initial idea when it came to this particular icon was indeed selling it to one person, so if other people wanted a similar icon they could commission me. That way, they could tell me how to design their icon (let's say a Splatoon OC) so it's not so generic.
When you say open icon, do you mean allowing a download after paying points? I am intrigued with your insight and I'm willing to try it.

Yes, an open icon means that people could purchase it to use it. You can set your own rules like "You can't change the color", "Make sure to give me credit for the icon somewhere on your page"... that kind of thing. Course, with that in mind, I would exceed a 70 point limit for this icon; I'd probably price it around 50 points to download.

I think that they'll see you will put more effort into an OC icon than a standard Inkling girl/boy icon. Lots of people who have Inkling OCs (like me) don't have the same hair styles as the standard ones. True, there could be the odd one out who has the exact some hair style but it may be different on some occasions.
Regardless, you are the artist so it's however you want to price it. :3
