Lelouch from Code Geass.I just started watching this a few weeks ago and I am addicted. The characters are fantastic. The plot is fantastic. I just love it. And I'm even more glad that I won't need to wait to watch the second season.
And just for clarification, I did not draw Lelouch. The quote is taken from Machiavelli's book the Prince, and I thought it fit the character well.

True. But so was Yagami Light from Death Note and Lucifer from Paradise Lost, and neither of them were exactly "good." Plus Light had one of the most insane laughing sequences ever.

Looks neat, I know this may be a late comment but my excuse is; meh. I've never actually thought about commenting on it until I saw this guy in the Anime catalog I got. Which leads to something completely off topic...
What is Code Geass about? It looks interesting, although I'm not sure if I'd like it or not. Your pretty much officially my Anime director (another title for you, yay!

Code Geass is pretty awesome (now you have me using that word). I still haven't gotten around to watching the second season because I'm too lazy, but the first is about Lelouch, who is on the wallpaper and who is the exiled-ish son of the Britannia Emperor. The Empire took over Japan 12 years before the story started, and Lelouch, his blind sister Nunnaly, and the son of the Japanese prime minister Suzaku, are all there at the time.
Later, Lelouch is going to this fancy school for Britannians. The Japanese are called Elevens and considered second-class.
Basically (to make this description end), Lelouch wants to destroy the Britannian Empire for destroying his and his sister's lives. Suzaku, who is now ironically working for the Empire, wants to change it from the inside rather than through war. Lelouch starts this freedom fighter organization called the Black Knights, and he leads it as the masked Zero. He also gets help from the mysterious girl C.C., who also gives him the power to make people obey him (though it only works once for each person).
There are giant fighting robots, but most of the story is conspiracy and friendship and revenge. The characters are fantastic, and the girls end up being not horribly annoying, especially Kallen. She's awesome.
Okay, I'll stop talking. It's a good series though. Very complicated, but it's easy to understand once you watch it.

This is so perfect. You were able to truly bring out Lelouch's character through this piece. He believes that he is a god among men, similar to Kira, so the galactic background really helps bring that out about his character. In addition, the phrase you used is so like Lelouch . . . I love this piece.

I noticed the similarities to Light and Lelouch as well. But Light doesn't seem to have much more of a purpose other than to become the "God" of his new word. Lelouch does what he does to make the word peaceful for his sister and actually feels the repercussions of what he does. If they were real, I would want to keep way of of the way of Kira since he kills basically whoever he wants.
I think I might think too much as I'm watching these.

Actually, your thinking is correct :] in my opinion. But as you will find in season 2 (not a spoiler) Lelouch's goal is solely to protect his sister. I compare the two because both have such great obstacles to overcome (for Light it is the police, Mello, L and Near and for Lelouch it is his father, Suzaku, and even his own men), and both will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. Additionally, they are the same in that the media must help to characterize who they are . . . I'm sorry, I am talking too much, but if you are interested in talking about anime just let me know. I'll add you as a friend

I agree about the media as well. Without them, Kira probably would have gone unnoticed outside of the law-enforcement community, and he wouldn't have had the ability to use fear tactics, Takada, Demegawa, and the other media. Plus the two have a following even though they are both branded as criminals. The media might have actually encouraged that unintentionally.
