My second entry for 's Deep Sea Dragon Contest. (The Contest Journal originally said one entry but now it says two? Correct me if I'm wrong and I'll pull this one.)

This deep-sea-dwelling dragon is a bit closer to the viper fish in his anatomy and habits. He has lost the ability to wade in shallow water, and uses his long fins and long, flattened body to paddle and push himself along the sea floor. He often wraps himself around the deep sea hydrothermal vents, which lend him warmth and protection from larger dragons/critters/giant squid (heh,) and also provide him with a steady source of food in the form of tiny fish, crabs, and rays, which are drawn to his bioluminescent body and 'bulb.' As a result, his life is mainly sedentary, only moving to find different feeding grounds and mates.

NO, little fish, IT'S A TRAP.
