I think Calcifer is my spirit animal and I'm fine with that. 
Gabu definitely seems like an interesting fella. That line in the last panel has me both worried for Kraneyboi and intrigued in a slightly morbid way.

Maybe he has the amulet because he always had it on him? I think that, in a previous timeline or something (maybe a paradox occurred,) he had been doing the trials. In your OC-tober challenge, one of the picture showed Krane and a charcater from Clarivoyant (I hope that's spelled right,) I think, with a caption saying, 'Don't you remember who you used to be?' Krane looks about the same age as he is now, so I don't feel he's aged any more from that point in time...
THIRD of all...
That Aether Foundation employee studying Krane said he got seasick often, and Krane says that same thing in this page. Part of me suspects this isn't a coincidence, for some crazy reason. What if the employee is related to Krane and seasickness runs in the family (if that's even possible?) Perhaps the employee, too, is an anomaly and studying one of his relatives seems like the best way to learn about himself?
FOURTH OF ALL...
That Rockruff just allowed himself to be captured, without thought. He speaks like Tapu Koko and Lunala... Is he associated with Lunala, having sat in front of a stone possessing her symbol? (Also, yes; Lunala is proven to be female. Look at both of its Pokédex entries.) He also seems to know who Krane is, as does Lunala (at this moment, Cosmog. Further proof that a paradox occurred. Unless if this Cosmog becomes Solgaleo.) He calls Krane 'the light' and speaks of how time is running out. If Krane has 'two weeks or months', as stated by that Aether Foundation employee, does that mean Gabu knows about this employee's business? Why? And what sins specifically must Krane atone for? I feel like he needs to make up for more than his attitude. It may be possible that he could have gone through an anxiety spiral and went on a rampage, killing someone. Maybe more than one entity.
ALSO, he seems to symbolize the sun. Good thing to keep in mind.
