Description Here is the first of four color variations of another of my aquatints. Unlike the previous series, I designed the image that went onto the plate specifically for this print rather than it being a restate of an older work of art (The figure was drawn from reference of myself in a mirror to get the draping right). Printed on arches buff with renaissance black. I love and hate arches paper at the same time.

This image depicts a modern-day Hermetic magician surrounded in alchemical, Masonic and mystic symbology as well as contemporary analogues of the ancient standards. The figure himself is the same man I posted a different sketch of in my scraps at [link] . He's a Mage character from the World of Darkness, for those of you who are familiar with that fictional RP setting.

It has a good watercolor effect to it(whether that was intentional or not ) I also like the modern and ancient mysticism theme here. That contrasts well. heh, luv the tie

Yeah, it was intentional. I dig the tie, too.
